MEET THE TEAM

George Dawson, Facilitator for the Engineering & Maintenance Group

George is a Chartered Engineer with a special interest in engineering maintenance.  He has also been in the 'people business' for over 30 years through his work in learning and development.  He is a registered Investors in People Practitioner.  George has been with PNE since 1992 and has successfully arranged numerous events, visits and conferences during that time.  His range of networking contacts throughout the region is extensive.  The two group committees decide what they want and George makes it happen!

Paul Ilczyszyn, Facilitator for Quality and Environment Group

Paul is a Quality and Environmental professional, having worked for 15 years as a Quality and Environmental Manager for a Japanese multinational corporation.  He is a member of the Institute of Quality Assurance and an Associate of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, and currently runs a consultancy primarily helping small and medium sized companies to implement and improve their quality and environmental management systems.

David Dawson, Facilitator for Personnel and Training Group

Most of my working life has been spent in Personnel or Human Resources as it is now called.  For the last 27 years I have worked in the newspaper industry and specifically for the Trinity Mirror organisation.  I started with Newcastle Chronicle and Journal way back in 1977 when most of my days were involved in Industrial Relations with the printing trade unions.  Subsequently my experience widened to include much more general HR work with other newspapers in the Trinity group - and in other centres which included Cardiff and Teesside.  I returned to Newcastle as HR Director in 1992 where I remained until 2004.
